AG Insurance rated among the most sustainable companies in the world

Our Belgian subsidiary AG has received the coveted EcoVadis platinum label, listing officially among the top 1% best-performing companies in the world for sustainability. Sitting at the heart of AG’s decision-making, this award provides a strong endorsement for their work.

As one of the leading providers of business sustainability assessments, rating agency EcoVadis provides an objective basis of comparison with peers. Their reach extends to 130,000 companies spanning 200 sectors across 175 countries, with assessments contrasting sustainability credentials across four core themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing policies.   

The decision to award AG the platinum label in 2024 recognises the many initiatives undertaken across the company. Highlights recognised this year included efforts to sharpen policies and objectives linked to insurance products including awarding the Towards Sustainability label to 42 savings and investment products, new initiatives in the field of electric mobility in collaboration with partners Touring, Optimile and SoSimply, and the launch of the preventative service MyMind allowing employees to strengthen their mental health.

In a year in which AG and Ageas celebrate 200 years in business, and therefore 200 years of striving to make a meaningful and sustainable contribution to society – this exceptional honour could not be more appreciated.
