Expanding into physical medicine and rehabilitation in Portugal

Grupo Ageas in Portugal has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of OneStone, the owner of a network of physical medicine and rehabilitation clinics operating under the name ‘One Clinics’.

One Clinics is a reference in the Portuguese market, with a focus on improving the quality of life of those who need rehabilitation healthcare. The acquisition will allow our Portuguese entity to develop a more complete and integrated healthcare ecosystem, represented by their local brand ‘Médis’.

This decision aligns with Ageas Group's strategic plan, Impact24, which aims to uncover new growth opportunities in the healthcare domain and adjacent services. We build on the existing strengths of our businesses to play a role in the Health ecosystem where we see opportunities to create added value for the customer.

The transaction is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2024 pending approval of the Portuguese Competition Authority.
